Two day Inverness Tour to Skye South and Mull

Leaving Inverness we travel down Loch Ness side and at Invermoriston we head to Kintail. Stopping at Eilean Donan Castle we continue to Skye crossing the bridge we travel to the MacDonald Castle at Armadale to cross over the short ferry ride to the small fishing village of Mallaig.

Travelling through spectacular scenary we make for the Ardnamuchan Peninsular to Kilchoan where we take the ferry to Tobermory on the Island of Mull. (The ferry crossing may be subsituted for Lochaline depending on day of travel). The town of Tobermory with its brightly painted harbour properties is one of the prettiest you will find and this is where we overnight.

Day two sees us visit the Island of Iona where Saint Colomba established a religious centre around 560 A.D.

After a short visit we head for Craignure for our ferry to Oban (or if a visit to Duart Castle is desired Fishnish to Lochaline) our journey then takes us via Fort William on our journey along the Great Glen to arrive in Inverness.

Three day Inverness Tour to Skye and Mull

Leaving Inverness we travel down Loch Ness side passing Urquhart Castle where a stop can be made to visit, at Invermoriston we head to Kintail. Stopping at Eilean Donan Castle considered the most romantic castle in Scotland if not the world. It has been shown in 23 movies with Highlander probably being the best know. Your guide will tell you of its history and the love that rebuilt it in the early 20th Century from here we continue to Skye crossing the bridge to arrive at Kyleakin. Travelling to Broadford and visiting the Cuillins before arriving at Portree where we overnight. Day two sees us leaving Portree passing the Old Man of Storr to the Kilted Rock and through Trotternish and the West side of Skye to arrive at Armadale and the Ferry to small fishing village of Mallaig.
